(AMES, Iowa) July 31, 2013—Renewable Energy Group® (NASDAQ:REGI) Tuesday completed the purchase of a 30-million gallon per year capacity biodiesel plant in Mason City, Iowa, formerly owned by Soy Energy, LLC.

REG® sold 69.2 million gallons of biodiesel in the second quarter 2013, an increase of 28% compared to the second quarter of 2012. Revenues of $387.1 million increased 42% year over year. The Company achieved adjusted EBITDA of $41.6 million during the second quarter 2013.
Ames, Iowa-July 25, 2013- Biodiesel producer and marketer Renewable Energy Group®, Inc. (NASDAQ: REGI), announced Thursday it will offer biodiesel at the International-Matex Tank Terminals (IMTT) in Bayonne, N.J. in New York Harbor, one of the world’s largest petroleum trading hubs. This new location allows REG® to sell large volumes of biodiesel via barge or truck.
Renewable Energy Group® (NASDAQ: REGI) recently completed $21 million in technology upgrades at its 30 million gallon biodiesel refinery in southern Minnesota. The on-time, on-budget upgrades allow REG Albert Lea to run a wide variety of locally-sourced agricultural byproducts such as animal fats, used cooking oils, inedible corn oils and yellow grease as well as vegetable oils.
